Brass and Pe Burnishing product

I recently purchased a bottle of Uschi Burnishing agent, it's the bee's knees for blackening those brass barrels!

can be used on Pe as well.

here is my Schatton Modelbau 1/48th BK75mm barrel for the HS129 B3 untreated, beside this are two untreated 20mm and two treated one's
that I just finished polishing, I used a clean facial tissue on them


The barrel just immersed in the agent


you can see it starting to blacken. the longer you leave it in, the darker it gets.


Still wet with the agent, it's advisable to use a pair of tweezers to move the part around while in the agent as it helps the process,
where the brass part sits retards the burnishing so move it around.

Use the tweezers to remove the piece and place it on a tissue to wipe off the scale, then polish.

The really good thing about this product is this, when finished bathing the parts, you can then drain the dish back into the bottle.

Check that it is still clean and blue first of course.

Sure beats priming, painting and polishing with lead pencil shavings!
