I started this about 9 years ago and i have finally decided to dig it out and finish before the end of this year. I have included all the old progress pics leading up to the work I have done on it over the last week or so...

Well the factory applied Red Oxide Primer is on - this is an actual Red Oxide Primer from Fentons that I used....

Hey Snowy, thanks for the comment. Yup it's a prototype AA that was developed right at the end of the war. There were only 3 or 4 of these completed vehicles, based on refurbished Pz IVG chassis. They know for a fact that at least one was in action against the Russians in Hungary because many years after the war they found a wrecked ball turret in a Hungarian forest near Budepest. It is believed that the Ruskies had in fact captured a complete vehicle and this was used to develop the Shilka AA system.

OK enough is enough. This project is now officially 10 years WIP!!!!! I am stating here and now, in public  that, that by no later than Sunday evening at 9 PM 31 August 2014  - this sucker will be complete!
