| Howdy Chaps Something a little different... Colin Burgess and I will be building the same kit, at the same time and posting them as we go along. The kit in question is Mirror Models 1/35th Indian 741B, that Colin bought back from Telford this year and as it has two complete kits in the box, he thought it might be a good idea to do a dual build and considering Indians are my favourite bike like evaaaaa!..... So, here's the kit. For any of you who have built one of Tamiya / Italeri's 1/35th scale bikes, this might come as quite a shock. Kit comes on 3 sprues this size. and if you look at the scale on the bottom, you can see just how tiny some of those bits are... One very nice touch is photoetched wheel spokes that fit between the two tyre halves... and wheels come in 3 pieces... and an indication of the size, this is the crankcase. Okay. Colin and I both agreed that a military bike in OD is booooring, so this is what we are going for.... So, stay tuned, this should be a laugh... | |

| That's a great looking kit. Seems like some of the smallest parts could be a pain to remove from the sprues. | |

| Hi Guys, as Steve says, a dual build. Likewise I'm an Indian fan not the other piece of doggy doo that paports to be a motorcycle!!!! The kit has some extreamly small parts, I was trying to assemble the cylinder heads yesterday, three parts to each and not an easy task. Yes the parts are difficult to remove from the sprue as the gates are rather large. Pics to follow later.

| Good morning chaps...
I shall second Colins statement. Day 1, Piece 1.... gone Lower piece of a cylinder head assembly taken by the carpet monster... Luckly not too hard to fabricate a new one.....

| Ok then.... Finally got the engine together. I had to scratch build the lower parts of the rear cylinder, as they were eaten by the carpet monster. The engine is seriously small, what youre looking at here is 16 pieces, which is about the same amount of parts as the whole of a Tamiya BMW R75! Time to start painting.... | |

| Good luck Steve!!!!
Losing parts? whack a blob of your ''blu tac'' on the part before you cut it off, they won't fly like a scud missile anymore.

| Morning chaps. Ok, engine has been painted. Main body is Citadel Boltgun Metal, Sidecover is Citadel Mithril Silver and cylinder heads Semi Gloss black. Work was supposed to start on the front forks now, but removin them proved to be an issue, as the bottom pins snapped off. Not matter how hard you try to be very careful the plastic is just so fragile and delicate. Anyway, shooting forwards a few places on the destructions, I reckon its easier to build the frontwheel first, then build the forks around that, so the wheel bits got a quick undercoat. Wheels have two PE spoke sections sandwiched between the wheel halves... They are going to be Tamiya TS 49 Mica Red. Few more bits on the go.. Airbox thing and battery Rear Frame Rear frame has a weld line running down the centre of it on the bottom so be careful not to remove it. Ok, thats it for now, think this kit might drive me to drink... steve | |
