Hi guys,

I've had some time on my hands battling with a bad back, so I've managed to put in some effort on the NCR.

NCR progtess report Th_Wiringloom_zps2e44bfde

Here is a wiring loom that I'm trying to replicate and an engine side cover showing the clutch cable and altenator cable.

NCR progtess report Th_Partiallyassembledengine_zpsfcbfc319

In this pic we have a "used engine" look featuring the accelerator cables to the carbs, tacho cable, spark plug wires, braided breather pipe with PE hose clamps.

In this one we have the partially assembled front fork with braided brake lines and used look.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

PostSubject: ....and so it continues. Chain replacement project   NCR progtess report Icon_minitimeSun Jun 08, 2014 6:46 pm

Carrying on from the last post. I'm about to embark on replacing the moulded chain with an individual link detail kit for an RC211V to give it a mote realistic look.

Below, have a gander and tell me what you think. I've seen it done before and it looks good, I just hope my skills are up to it? affraid

Not knowing what "NCR" was referring to I peeked in at this thread.

And being a little slow on the uptake today, I thought you were scratchbuilding a lawn mower kit. confused

My apologies. I figured it out and it looks great.

Thanks guys!

That chain kit was a test of patience and sanity! Next time around I'm trying the one that has an assembly jig.

Anyway, I'm happy with the result as it looks far better than the moulded chain that's in the kit.

Till my next update!

PostSubject: The slog continues   NCR progtess report Icon_minitimeSat Oct 18, 2014 9:10 pm

Slowly but surely I'm creeping closer to the finish.

Here is an overall view from LH side of part assembled NCR, the motor is in, the wheels are on, and the wiring is nearly finished.

In this next image, you get a closer look at the rear brake assy.

NCR progtess report LHSV2_zps544ebae4

In this image is the front brake assy.

NCR progtess report LHSV3_zps44eb32af

In this image, you can see the engine mount bolts and some more wiring.

NCR progtess report RHSV2_zpsc70c0585

This image shows the chain in situ and looking the business, even if I must say so myself. The chain was a very trying mod, but well worth it in the end.

All comments and crits are gladly received with an open mind.

Man that is looking good, if I can add a comment - and that's all it is, those brake discs would look awesome in Alclad Stainless Steel! But regardless, i'm waiting for the next episode bounce
